Custom Foot Orthotics

The foot is a lever and if that begins to fail due to altered mechanics of the lower limb, this can cause external stress on the surrounding structures of the foot. By supporting the correct position of the foot and ankle via an orthotic, this allows for a neutral walking pattern and engagement of muscles to function optimally.

We take non-weight bearing and weight bearing measurements to define the correction necessary. Using 3D Sharp Shape scanning technology,  we scan the both feet in non-weight bearing sub-talar neutral position to obtain the optimal foot contour.

Custom Foot Orthotic type is discussed with the patient to determine their specific needs such as for a carbon fibre shell for a dress shoe or polypropylene shell with a thicker top cover for a work boot. All aspects are customizable per patient's requirements.
